The first consultation lasts an average of 30 minutes. The doctor begins by discussing the patient's medical history, any previous treatments, and skin concerns. This is followed by a skin examination of problem areas and, if necessary, dermatoscopy of moles or suspicious lesions. Finally, Dr. Savu will explain the diagnosis (if established) and recommend a treatment plan or further investigations. You will have the opportunity to ask questions and receive clarification.
A standard consultation lasts approximately 20–30 minutes , depending on the complexity of the case. This includes time for discussion, examination, and establishing a treatment plan. The frequency of check-ups depends on the diagnosis and recommended treatment: some conditions require a check-up every 1 month, others every 3–6 months. For example, after initiating treatment for severe acne, you may return every 4–6 weeks to assess the effectiveness, while for monitoring benign moles, the check-up may be annual. Dr. Savu will indicate at the end of the consultation when it would be best to schedule your next visit.
Although Dr. Savu's focus is on women's integrative dermatology (due to her expertise in hormonally influenced skin conditions, for example), she also offers dermatology consultations for male patients and children. Common skin conditions (such as acne, atopic dermatitis, eczema, skin infections) are treated with equal care regardless of gender. For very young children or special cases that require a specific subspecialist (such as pediatric dermatology or complex venereal diseases), Dr. Savu can refer you to specialized colleagues, if necessary. In principle, anyone with a dermatological problem is welcome to come for a consultation.
It depends on the type of procedure and the time available. Small interventions, such as electrodesiccation of a papilloma or excision of a small lesion, can sometimes be performed in the same session. On the other hand, more complex aesthetic procedures (e.g. Co2 laser) are usually scheduled for a later visit, as additional time is needed for preparation and detailed information, as well as to ensure optimal conditions (local anesthesia, if necessary, and space allocated in the calendar).Dr. Savu will discuss your options with you and, if a specific treatment is indicated, it will be scheduled at the appropriate time.
You can make an appointment by contacting the reception at the phone numbers displayed in the Contact section or by filling out the contact form on the website. You will be contacted later for confirmation. Regarding payment, if it is a private consultation, it can be made in cash or by bank card at the reception, after the consultation. For consultations through CAS (Clinica Vascularte), no payment is required (the cost being settled directly by the insurance company, within the allocated ceiling). Aesthetic procedures are usually paid separately, and the rates will be communicated before the appointment by the clinic reception.
Dr. Diana Savu's office accepts both private patients and patients insured through CAS within the Vascular Multidisciplinary Clinic. This means that you can choose to either pay for the consultation (privately, without a referral ticket), or with a referral ticket for settlement through the Insurance House (within the limit of the places available monthly for such consultations). Regardless of the method, the quality of the medical act remains the same; the only difference is the payment/settlement method, the availability in the program and the services offered (regenerative medicine procedures, aesthetics, etc.). At the time of the appointment, the team will inform you if there are still slots available through CAS and what documents are required.
Hyperhidrosis is a condition characterized by excessive sweating, caused by overactivity of the sweat glands. It can be primary (genetic) or secondary to other diseases or medications, which is why a dermatological consultation is essential. There are solutions such as specially designed antiperspirants or botulinum toxin injections.Botulinum toxin injections inhibit the activity of the sweat glands by blocking nerve impulses. The results last 6–9 months and provide a significant reduction in sweating.
